Emily Hinsdale

President
 

Emily is a mother to two girls and has lived in Tampa since 2005. She serves on the Walk Bike Tampa board of directors and with the Metropolitan Planning Organization's Livable Roadways Committee. She is a PTA veteran, having served for over a decade on preschool, elementary, middle, and high school PTA boards, where she has focused on better communications and relationships within the school family. Emily is a freelance writer, an enthusiastic cook, a dedicated traveler, and a determined pedestrian.

 

Matti Rukholm

Treasurer
 

Matti is a husband and father of two children and has lived in Tampa since 2014. He is a landscape architect at CPWG, a multidisciplinary firm with their main office located in Seminole Heights, Tampa. His interests are in the design of municipal parks and Complete Streets. Complete Streets enable safe roadway access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. He is an avid Tampa Bay Lighting fan and enjoys riding his bike to work.

 

Vanessa Rukholm

Vice President
 

Vanessa is a wife and mother to two kids and has lived in Tampa since 2014. Prior to becoming a Tampeña, she lived in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Italy where she enjoyed firsthand the numerous benefits of walkable/bikable cities. Vanessa has served on the PTA of her kids' elementary school since 2016 as the Health and Wellness Coordinator, advocating for schoolchildren's well-being. Vanessa is an impassioned college professor, intrepid world traveller, unabashed foodie, and proud polyglot fluent in French, Italian, and Spanish.

Ashley Scheu

SECRETARY
 

Ashley is the mother of three girls and has lived in Tampa since 2012. She is an assistant professor of French at Eckerd College and thus loves reading literature, learning new languages, and travel. One of her favorite activities is running with her husband and dogs while her girls bike alongside.

Tim Scheu

Vice President
 

Tim is a father to three girls and has been a resident of the Tampa Bay area since 2012. He is Director of Engagement Management for Ashoka - a D.C.-based nonprofit organization. In that capacity, has teamed with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the LEGO Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation, among other high-profile philanthropies on projects related to children's wellbeing, learning-through-play, and sustainable urban development.  Tim is a board member of the Roosevelt Elementary PTA, an avid runner, and an unabashed Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
